casa what the fuh
this is my girl, boo

she has a brain cloud
last wednesday, as abby was having her way with michigan city, i was sitting on my kitchen floor helplessly watching boo have one grand mal seizure after another. i called dr. vet but really there wasn't anything to be done, the weather was too bad for me to bring her in. as the storm stopped so did the seizures and i watched her all night. the next day i took my, now broken, cat in to see the vet. she could barely stand and resembled a dish rag. dr. vet pronounced her diabetic and gave me a prescription for insulin. i had to force water and feed her and even though i have a fear of needles i gave her insulin shots. the seizures did not stop, they were getting worse. i was told she would still have seizures while we got the diabetes under control so i held on for 7 days until i could take her back to the vet.
when i took her in to have her glucose checked she started having seizures again and the vet freaked. it turns out too much insulin was causing this particular seizure, i believe it was causing them all week. dr. vet now believes she has a mass (tumor) pressing on her brain, that this is what caused the first seizure. he lowered her insulin and told me she was going to get worse. he told me within the next 12 days i was going to have to bring her in to put her to sleep, that the seizures were going to get worse and worse. he thought she was already blind in one eye. i really got the feeling he expected us back the next day, it was all very grim.
i, of course, could not just stand by and do nothing. i nixed the insulin all together, it was already causing seizures and would possibly cause more. i decide to deal with the diabetes aspect through diet and see how it went. as for the the mass, i went back to being an herbalist and put together a tonic for her. so far, so good. we are on day four of no seizures. she can eat and drink and use the litter box all on her own now. she can also stand and walk around. she's very weak and disoriented. i'm not sure if she can see and she is having trouble hearing but she is much better than she was. as far as i can tell she isn't suffering so i'm going to keep it up and we'll see what happens.

My heart hurts for you, Kiki.
But I'm so glad she has you for a human.
You just keep loving her for all she's worth.
*sending prayers and positive thoughts*
